We took a boat to Monterosso, the last of the 5 villages for us to see. This one is the biggest with 1,500 residents and it’s the only one with a beautiful sand beach. The water was crystal clear and warm. It still has an “old town” but it also attracts a few cosmopolitan travelers. We spent the afternoon swimming or under an umbrella people watching, it was a nice change of pace.
